Yes, completely free — no signup, no ads. Local play even works offline once loaded, and can be installed as an app.
Do I need an account to play?
No account is required, ever. Your stats stay saved locally in your browser.
How does multiplayer work?
It connects you directly to your opponent over a peer-to-peer link (WebRTC) — no game server in between. Just share the generated link or QR code with a friend.
What is Assimilation mode?
A piece that captures another piece permanently gains that piece's movement abilities, on top of its own.
Does the AI send my moves to a server?
No — the AI opponent runs entirely in your browser (Stockfish), so no move data ever leaves your device.
